Waiting For Many Years To Overcome Leukemia And Epilepsy

I have always been a sickly child. Hospitals have become my second home. My parents’ hard-earned money were spent to pay for my treatments. I am the eldest of four siblings, three girls and one boy. I was a victim of leukemia otherwise called blood cancer, and epilepsy. Having taken too much medicine since childhood, my kidneys and liver were not functioning well.

Because of my illness, I did not perform well at school, I did not even manage to finish Junior High School. I suffered fainting spells, foaming at the mouth. Sunrays had the same effect on me. These fainting spells could happen any place. In the end, I became like a girl kept secluded. I could not associate like other girls my age. But there was nothing I could do about it. I obeyed my parents and did not leave the house. Watching television was my only consolation and entertainment. I knew about the existence of malls and other places of recreation from watching television only. How I wished to be there in person. As for love, young people in love, this I learned from the films shown on television. I did not dare imagine some young man falling in love with me. When my sadness reached its peak, I was often angry with God for being born to suffer only.

Late in the year 2001, I was hospitalized again. I was fed up with going in and out of hospitals, but my parents were worried seeing me so weak the only thing I could was lie down. I knew that to pay for my hospitalization, my parents had to ask and borrow from relatives and friends. I therefore chose to be treated as an outpatient.

Night and day I prayed asking for God’s help. He pointed the way to my recovery when my mother was helping Mrs. Tuty Sarwodi (Mrs. Ning Harmanto’s elder sister) cut the mahkota dewa fruit. Mrs. Tuty gave me a concoction of mahkota dewa, sambiloto, temulawak, pegagan and dewa leaves. Though it tasted bitter, I consumed the concoction as directed. Thanks to God, it was like being granted new strengths. I did no longer feel weak, faint, exhausted and could sleep more soundly. My health kept improving, and the fainting spells never occurred again.

Mrs. Tuty Sarwodi, inquiring about my health, was pleased. My parents’ ordeal, though, was not over yet. My sister who attended university in Yogyakarta, was stricken by a rather severe illness, and swelling of abdomen and feet. When she heard about this, Mrs. Tuty Sarwodi gave her the same concoction like she had given me, but in instant form. Amazingly, within two weeks time the swelling disappeared, and my sister could attend the university lectures again.

Had I been able to acquire the mahkota dewa concoction earlier, perhaps I did not have to endure my prolonged suffering. But I should not talk hypothetically. Though late, I thank God for releasing me of my prolonged suffering.

My suffering had gone on for two years. Each time after consuming salted fish or drinking soda containing beverages, swellings appeared on my body. Sometimes these swellings appeared without any apparent reason on face and body. This happened at least once a week. It will disappear when I take Lasic, a drug that promotes the excretion of urine and help reduce the swelling in the stomach.

I am a 40 year old housewife with two children. The eldest is a student at a hotel management academy and the youngest a high school student. My beloved husband is a Menara Batavia employee. Mahkota Dewa Plugged the Leak in Fikki’s Kidney

Seeing him, people would never believe that Fikki, our only child, so active and lively, had just recovered from a disease that nearly caused us to loose hope. They would not believe that our son not so long ago ceased the “tradition” of going in and out of hospitals and visiting doctors and paranormals, after three years of struggling with a deathly disease. They would never suspect him at this young age to have endured such a bitter experience.

It all began when Fikki was three years old. My husband , Fikki and I were holidaying at Pulau Bidadari, the Thousand Islands. We ate a lot of seafood. Fikki enjoyed the food very much. Upon our return from the holiday, we saw that Fikki’s face was swelling. We though he was allergic to seafood. We took him to see a doctor who suggested a laboratory test. The doctor explained the result to us.

He told us that the lab result indicated a kidney disorder, characterized by protein crystals in Fikki’s urine. The doctor said that he would give Fikki a medicine to protect his kidneys, however, if a relapse were to occur within 3 months time, it would mean that our child is suffering from nefrotic syndrome. Laymen called it kidney leak disease. Medically, the doctor further said, the causative agent is still a mystery.

We were shocked. “Allah, why must we experience this painful test? Can our child ever get well again?” we asked.

Fikki was hospitalized for 10 days and then allowed to go home attended by a number of very strict diet rules. Fikki now had to be held back from consuming his favorite foods.

Supporting him, we also avoided these foods like Fikki.

After three months, Fikki was stricken by the same condition like when we returned from Pulau Bidadari. He was gaining weight, but he did not look healthy. He also suffered from renal failure. The doctor referred us to a kidney specialist at RSCM who gave us medicine for Fikki to take. We were shocked when the doctor mentioned some of the side effects that might occur, namely losing hair, porotic bones and asthma.

But what can we do? This is the only medicine that may control his kidneys.

We also went to see alternative medical practitioners, those whose ways did stand to reason and even those whose ways did not. We even practiced a custom that is common to Javanese in order to get rid of a disease, namely that Fikki must be sold and bought back by his own mother at a price of Rp. 50,000.

Besides taking his medicine disciplinary, Fikki must go see the doctor monthly for control and laboratory tests to prevent an increase in urine protein. Still, after three years of therapy, his condition was not like that of other healthy children. He was sick frequently. His teachers at school came to know very well that Fikki must be sick when he did not attend school.

Fikki suffered even more when the side effects of the drug appeared. He got affected by asthma and had to take some more drugs. Each day, he must consume no less than 8 tablets.

“Mama, Fikki is tired of taking medicines every day” he started complaining.

“Fikki, the doctor says you may not stop taking these medicines yet until you no longer suffer a relapse”, I said coaxing him.

Fikki’s doctor told us that Fikki should not cease taking his medicine until his urine protein become negative. Laboratory tests indicated that it was still positive.Very discouraging indeed.

At the end of the year 2001, my sister Ida introduced me to the mahkota dewa product. She and her family had bought and consumed ibu Ning Harmanto’s concoction, and are feeling fit. I then decided to follow her example, and bought the Instant Super Made concoction.

Ida told me about the positive result showed by her child who was also consuming the mahkota dewa concoction. I thought to try to give it to Fikki, who knows, the result may be positive. Thank God, my child was becoming healthier and livelier. One day at a meeting with the PT Astra Graphia solidarity night committee, I happened to meet Mas Harmanto, Mbak Ning Harmanto’s beloved husband. From idle talk about the clowning at Astra, Mas Harmanto then talked about the matter of the mahkota dewa concoction made by his wife. I happen to have diabetes, a legacy from my father Bagong Kusudiarjo. Mas Harmanto told me about the recovery of diabetes patients by consuming Mbak Ning’s concoction. At the next meeting, I was presented with the book Mahkota Dewa, the Medicine of the Gods and a VCD of Mbak Ning’s lecture and that of the mahkota dewa investigators.

All that I wish for is now fulfilled, I thought. Just think, I no longer have to keep a strict and punishing diet, not allowed to eat this or that, and I do not need to engage in sports anymore. I very much resented that kind of life. So I told Mas Harmanto that I wish to try the efficacy of his wife’s concoction. I was then given a concoction of mahkota dewa cangkang tea, pegagan tea and daun salam ( a laurellike leaf). I was also told not to consume it haphazardly.

I just said yes to all his various instructions, but I was determined to test the efficacy of the mahkota dewa concoction. Before consuming it, I had my blood level of glucose

tested. It was 280. I consumed the concoction according to directives. Within one week, my blood level of glucose dropped to 230. Convinced now that the concoction can really drop the blood level of glucose, I broke all the doctor’s prohibitions. I ate just as I like. I did not diet. I did not take any modern medicine at all. I also did not feel like engaging in physical exercises.

When Mbak Ning visited me in Yogya, she asked me how I was doing. “ Has your blood level of glucose dropped?” she asked.

“Oh, it clearly has, he,he,he. That’s why I do not follow a dietary regimen anymore. I want to test whether mahkota dewa can fight my insistence on being naughty”.

Mbak Ning was startled to hear me saying this.

“ Don’t do it that way, dummy. That attitude is wrong and aimless. Even though you consume mahkota dewa, you must follow a dietary regimen until your blood leve of glucosel has dropped to normal. Only then may you eat normally. But still gradually.”

“I don’t care. I am now feeling fit and healthy. Prior to consuming mahkota dewa, when taking a blood test, the blood drawn from my fingertip was thick and black.

Now, it is red and normal. My wife thought so too”.

Mbak Ning kept insisting that I watch my diet, but I kept breaking her rules.

One day I had to go to Jakarta. I did not consume the concoction for three days. I happened to meet Mbak Ning in Jakarta. She was very disappointed with her super obstinate patient. Then and there, in her presence, I wanted to test my blood level of glucose with the assistance of my beloved wife, Rully.

Mbak Ning kept making a fuss about it and was convinced that my blood level of glucose has elevated again. She was right, my obstinacy has caused my blood level of glucose to elevate to 275. I realized then that I should have followed her recommendations. My wife too have been trying to persuade me to diet and engage in physical exercise.

According to Mbak Ning, if one were disciplinable, within one month the blood level of glucose can drop 100 points.

Because I do wish to be healthy so I can keep talking nonsense to make a living, I promised to follow Mbak Ning’s rules and my dear wife’s recommendations. But I first went to check my blood level of glucose, cholesterol, arthritis, etc. at the laboratory.

When I got the result, I became really scared. My blood level of glucose was 226, normally it should be 70-110; two hours later, the blood level of glucose elevated to 332, normally less than 140. Even more sensational, my triglyceride went up to 456, whereas normally it should be less than 200. Nothing was normal. Supported by my wife, I tried to follow a dietary regimen, engaged in physical exercise, and consumed the mahkota dewa concoction.

I fixed the dosis myself by taking a handful of mahkota dewa tea.

One week later, I again visited the laboratory. A miracle, the blood level of glucose was 195, and 2 hours later it became 303, triglyceride 240, arthritis from 7.5. became 6.7. I was grateful that it only took one week for my blood level of glucose and triglycerida to drop. Thanks to God and my discipline in regulating my eating pattern, physical exercises, and regular consumption of the mahkota dewa concoction.

These days, wherever I go, I always take with me a small electrical oven to facilitate the brewing of mahkota dewa.
